Typical Tuesday

It has been a typical Tuesday for me. Started out with sleeping in until 8:45. Since the seasons are changing, my workload is really slowing down and I am thrilled after the 8 months or H*^% I have gone through with the heat and rain. I roll out of the house and head down for my weekly trip to the LDS Cannery. I really enjoy going to see these nice people and helping them out. I spent around 1:15 mins there helping them can onions, carrots, rice, potato flakes, and macaroni. Also had some good discussions with them about our current president. If you have one near you, I highly recommend getting your foot in the door. They are a great resource for like minded people.

Once home, the misses had gone to the commissary the other day and bought a bunch of Zatarains Rice side dishes to add to the inventory so I took the time to add those and the LDS stuff to my spreadsheet. I really enjoy watching it grow and knowing how many days  of food i have for a SHTF scenario of natural disaster.

Well once home I had to break my Tuesday routine, I forgot that the Home Owners Association has their monthly board meeting tonight. Well I did have to do some work today, mainly around our clubhouse. Have to make sure everything is tidy for the wicked witch of association management companies. This contract is really important since I live here and it pays quite well.

Tonight will be my third week in "Pop Culture and the Arts". It is my only Liberal Arts class I have to take for my degree. I though this class would be boring but I am actually enjoying learning about architecture, photographers, and all that other stuff. Till the next time,

  2. It's interesting how the classes you least look forward to can turn out to be interesting. I'm glad that you're enjoying it. Sounds like it's a good thing you remembered the meeting and got tidied up, i hear HOA's can really ream a person.
I've been thinking about that spreadsheet you were talking about a while back. You said that it would come with the formulas (is that the right word?) in it, but not the totals. That's fine, I'm not interested in how much you store, but does it come with line categories such as flour, sugar, etc? I'm thinking it would have to if for no other reason than to keep the calculations correct. I'm interested in taking a look at it because I'm not satisfied with the way I'm inventorying my stores right now, but my spreadsheet/database skills are so rusty that I'm almost worse than a newbie lol.

    1. GG, I will do a post in the next couple of days about my spreadsheet and will explain what I have done with it. If you want a copy, then I will send you a clean version and answer any questions you have.

    2. Thank you very much. I would like to take a look at it, but I would prefer to hold any questions until after you have a chance to explain it first. I learn best by doing, with the manual at my elbow, so to speak.
